Privacy-first team time tracking for sensitive work, with desktop capture, portal review, encrypted task content, hosted sync, and self-hosted deployment paths.
About
Trackself is privacy-first team time tracking for sensitive work. It combines desktop capture with portal review, reporting, and timesheet workflows while keeping ordinary task content out of vendor-readable hosted storage.
The product supports local and shared-folder use, encrypted hosted sync, and self-hosted or on-premises deployment paths for teams that need stronger control over their data.

My role
Trackself is my main product work. I founded and build the product end to end: product direction, application architecture, privacy model, sync/storage design, desktop app implementation, backend services, web portal, and operations.
Technical shape
The desktop application is built with Flutter and SQLite and is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows. Backend services use Python/Django, Dart, Go, and PostgreSQL. The web app frontend runs on Cloudflare Pages with React, Next.js, React Query, and Tailwind.
The core engineering problem is not just activity capture. It is building a useful time-tracking product around privacy boundaries, local data, synchronization, review workflows, hosted operations, and deployment choices that fit sensitive teams.
